Along with news, recent photoshoots and weddings I will try to keep you updated with what is going on at Romantic Images. This will include some of the other photography that I do and give you more of an insight into my style and work. Please feel free to post comments, constructive feedback is always welcome.

Angela and I used to work with a friend called Giselle, for some while she had been wanting family pictures of herself with partner Grant and their son Reece. We agreed to do a shoot for them and chose Ashton Court in Bristol as a venue. Below are some shots from our day;
I was recommended to Neil and Holly by a friend, as soon as I met them I knew it was going to be a great wedding, they both have great energy and a sense of fun.
Their wedding was held in the lovely village of Hindon at the church, with a marquee reception at Holly’s parents house. Sadly the weather was against us, a dull damp day with showers, but this was not an issue and we got some great photographs.
Hindon Church was lovely, the ceremony was great and I enjoyed watching from the back and taking shots down the aisle. As the couple left the church the sun came out, we enjoyed the only fifteen minutes of sunshine to get photos of the couple and their friends and family throwing confetti before heading off to Holly’s parents for the reception.
The reception was fun, they had a great set of friends and family and everyone enjoyed their evening. After the food and speeches we had the first dance, I left them all on the dance floor at about 10.30pm with some great photos in my camera that I know they will love. My Availability
Sean and Kelly were to be married at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Stroud. My fiancee Angela joined me for the day as my assistant, her and I drove to Gloucester to meet Kelly and the girls who were getting ready at her fathers house. We arrived to find that most of the bridesmaids were already in their dresses, we said hello to everyone and then started taking bridal preparation pictures, dress, shoes, tiara, flowers and then pictures of Kelly having her makeup done and getting ready. We then set off to meet the guys at the church.
Sean seemed very calm and was chatting with Father David when we arrived. I took shots of the groom, best man and usher and then some of the church and the rings. Kelly arrived and the ceremony started, I was very impressed by Father David who conducted the ceremony in a very relaxed and friendly way which made it very enjoyable for everyone. After getting good photographs of the ceremony I took photos as they left the church and we set off for the reception at The Hill which is situated just down the road.
The sun was shining as everyone arrived and met on the lawn outside for drinks. After some reportage pictures we took the happy couple of to get some pictures of them in the grounds and also with Kelly’s dads (very nice!) Mercedes. Due to the timing of the meal we decided to take the group shots after the meal. Mike and the team at The Hill provided an excellent meal, the couple cut the cake and everyone had some for dessert (this again was excellent and they tempted me into a second slice!). The groups pictures were taken on the front lawn before heading inside for the first dance.
This was another very enjoyable wedding with great people. Below are a few images from the day;

My Availability
As a wedding photographer it is great to work with a nice couple who are easy to get on with and clearly in love with each other, Richard and Lucy are such a couple and it was great to be chosen as their photographer.
The wedding was held at the Pittville Pump Room in Cheltenham a venue that I shot at last year and was greatly looking forward to photographing again. Despite a shower on the way to the venue the weather stayed fine although the light was very variable with bright sunshine one moment and dark shade the next. The park at the pump rooms offers lots of opportunities for photography and we made the best use of this, the band stand, trees, benches, down by the lake and on the bridge. After weeks of glorious sunshine I was saddened to hear a forecast of high winds and rain for Lucy & Dave’s wedding, however the forecasters didn’t quite get it right and although we got the high winds the rain was limited to a few spots.
The day was one of the most relaxed weddings I had been to for some time and everyone stayed chilled out and enjoyed the couple’s big day. The ceremony was held at St Decuman’s Church in Watchet followed by reception at the lovely Crowcombe Court. Below are some of the images from the day;
Thank you for visiting our new website, those of you who have been following Romantic Images will know that before this site we had a Flash based site. The old site had some great images but was far too slow and we found that many couples did not wait for the home page to load, we also had the issue that it was not visible on iPhones and iPads which many people now own. The old site was also at a different web address ending in .net fortunately the .co.uk domain name became available earlier this year.
We hope that you enjoy the site. I would like to say a huge thanks to everyone who has given their input to the new website in particular Sharon and the team at Angel SEO who created this. I would recommend them to any business looking to improve their online presence.
