Your Wedding Experience
After you have looked at my website I hope that you will like what you see enough to get in touch. The first step is to check my availability checker to make sure that I am available, then you can either fill out the contact form or just give me a call.
We can discuss your wedding on the phone including the date, venue, the style of photography you like (don’t worry if you don’t know!) and arrange to meet up. I prefer where possible to meet both of you, usually at a coffee shop or hotel. A lot of my meetings are held at the Aztec Hotel at Bradley Stoke which is easy to find and just off the M4/M5. At the meeting I can show you albums, discuss your day, pricing and package options and answer any questions. Hopefully you will like what you see and hear and I can firm the date up in my diary!
All my price options include a pre-wedding portrait photoshoot, this is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better and build up a rapport that will help us to capture amazing pictures on your big day. I am often told that one or both of the couple don’t like having their picture taken, working together and seeing the results helps to put your mind at rest and make you more comfortable about the process. Its also great to have some great images of yourselves and I provide 10 images for you on disk which some couples use on their save the date cards and invites.
Then before the big day I will visit the venue (even if I have photographed wedding there before), look at the layout, look for some good backgrounds and the best light. I will also consider options if the weather is wet, there are always option wherever you get married!
After the wedding I will back up your pictures onto hard drives, I must confess that I am paranoid about backing up pictures and now carry a portable back up drive so I can do this during the day. I then sort the pictures and start to edit them in Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance the images and balance the light.
Once you are back from honeymoon we can then meet to see your pictures, this is always very exciting and one of the great parts of my job! You can select your favourites and if you are having an album we can get a draft layout. I then go away and design your album sending you proofs for approval before ordering.
During the whole process from initial enquiry to the delivery of your album I like to keep in touch, I do this by email and telephone and want to ensure that you feel comfortable throughout the process. If you need any further information on how I work please give me a call.
